Our Story
ACARF was founded by Dr. Vicki Brown and Ibrahim Elbendary in July 2020 to save the lives of Cairo's most neglected animals. From our humble beginnings, we have evolved into a comprehensive rescue foundation dedicated to creating lasting change for Egypt's street animals.
Foundation Established
Our journey began in July 2020 with a small group of volunteers passionate about animal rescue in Cairo. We started with a clear vision to create a comprehensive foundation dedicated to making lasting change for animals in Egypt.
Expansion & Growth
We expanded to reach more areas across Cairo and Giza, rescuing hundreds of animals and building a strong network of volunteers and local partners committed to animal welfare.
New Transparent System
We launched a new transparent system ensuring every donation reaches animals in need. This includes detailed reports and regular updates to our donors about how their contributions make a difference.
Growth & Development
We continued to grow and develop to become one of the most important rescue organizations in the region, with increasing impact and inspiring success stories of animals finding loving homes.
